Hi all, just a quick question, If I route from router a to another router (router b) which has the destination network on one of its interfaces, but router b has a route saying all traffic destined locally route to another router on the same subnet, what will happen, will the traffic see the right network as soon as it hits router b and ignore the next hop route ?

If the destination network is a connected network, the traffic would be routed to it and the static route would be ignored. Directly connected routes have an administrative distance (AD) of 0 while static routes have AD 1. The lower the AD, the better it is.

what i mean is, if that network is a directly connected, will it ignore the static route to the other router ?

Yes - the administrative distance is the key here.

On a connected network, the AD is 0. On a static route, the AD is a minimum of 1. The static route will therefore always be ignored.
