Hi,
I am wondering how secure using SIP phones is over the Internet? I have a requirement for users to connect into a CUCM 6.x system from home, but there are no VPN's in place.
Is this a good idea, or is there some security built into SIP. I read something about Secure-SIP and SRTP but havent been able to get anything concrete regarding CUCM 6.x.
Thanks!
Jo

yeah there sip-tls or simply SIPS and SRTP which use AES to encrypt your call control and audio data.

Thanks. So is this built in to CUCM 6.x by default?
