Hi,
We tried downgrading our ASA from 7.2 to 7.0.6. After uploading the image of 7.0.6 and putting the boot command, we reloaded the firewall.
ASA does not proceed after displaying "Launching Bootloader". It simply hangs on this message. We have to hardboot post this, and again it comes back on same message.
I uploaded the image again using TFTP from ROMMON, both to 7.0.6 and 7.2. It upgrades sucessfully, loads the ASA.
But as soon as you reboot, the ASA gets stuck again on "Launching bootloader".
Any help please...

format your flash...
DO NOT REBOOT
then reload your image via tftp.
verify checksum then try to reboot.

So does the asa have nvram like a router? Where the hell is my config after I did this above it booted to a default config. If it does not have nvram, what a POS.
