12.3(8)JEC ios upgrade creating connectivity issues with Handheld device

Well basically I upgrade out 1200 series AP from 12.3(8)JA2 to 12.3(8)JEC and as soon as I did that the handheld devices(barcode scanners) completely stopped connecting to the network. The laptops that we run have no issues and work fine just the handheld devices..

the handheld (barcode scanners) are symbol 9000 devices

we have a few different laptops that use the network..

no configurations changes were made

any ideas?

Hi !

I would adive you to go back to 12.3(8)JEB1.

If you are using only one antenna, then the

commands :

antenna receive right or left

antenna transmit right or left

Those commands are gone in 12.3(8)JEC. :-(

its not the fact that the antennas are down because they still work for the laptops just not the handheld devices...

also i cant really go back. since this is a military network they say i have to go to a certain version if i dont comply i get in trouble...

im really looking for a fix not a work around

I would look at the configuration again. Maybe during the upgrade, something didn't stay. Verify the requirements from symbol... preamble, data rates, etc...
