I have an ASA5505 that is not running the Security Plus License. I am limited to 3 Vlan's. I need to add the 4th vlan. If I upgrade to the Security Plus License, do I need to do trunking to allow for additional vlans? Or am I permited to create the 4th vlan?

So if I have more then 3 vlan's, I will need to trunk to a switch to get added vlans?

yes, With the Security Plus license, you can configure 20 VLAN interfaces. You can configure trunk ports to accomodate multiple VLANs per port.
