Hello can someone help because I cannot ping a pc nic card from a directly connected router. from the pc nic card I can telnet the router fine but from the router I cannot ping the pc. I have no firewalls and default gateway of nic card is the router nic ip address

Hi:
it sounds like youre trying to set up your PC to download code to the router.
If thats what you are trying to do, you have to use a crossover cable and connect one end of it to the PC and the other end to the router's ethernet interface.
Enable the ethernet interface.
Configure both the PC and the router's ethernet interface with IP addresses on the same ip subnet -- example: 10.10.10.1/24 and 10.10.10.2/24.
Make sure the PC's Windows firewall is disbaled.
Then try running your tests.
