Multicast on NBMA network

Unanswered Question

I am configuring multicast Auto-RP on a point-to-multipoint Frame Relay network.

Mapping agent is on the hub router, and the two spoke routers are RP candidates, each for one multicast group.

Since this is a point-to-multipoint network, "ip pim nbma" should be used on the hub router in order to have the Auto-RP discovery messages to send to all spoke routers, correct?

However, even when I do not have "ip pim nbma" configured on the hub router's FR multipoint subinterface, the two spoke routers can get the Auto-RP discovery message correctly and all mcast traffic can ping through from one end to another. Is this expected??

I have this problem too.
