I work for two companies... company (A) gets data from company (B) over the Internet using the same ISP. Sometimes a file has a specific piece of data that seems to make the connection stall/drop in the middle of the FTP transfer. I have attached the piece of data from a packet capture that seems to be causing the problem. I can see the packet leave the firewall of server side from business (B) and then the connection seems to drop. I have contacted the ISP that both businesses use and they don't seem to be much help.
Does anyone have any insight or suggestions?

What I mean by sometimes is... 3 times a day a file might contain the string that is causing the issue or it might be once a week.

With issues like that I would run a logg monitor on firewalls at both sites and review that output. Check the acls on both premise routers and make rue that port 10177 (whatever that is) is open. I wonder why port 21 is not showing up.
