WiSM and VLANs

I am setting up a wism and have a question:

If I create a user vlan 30 on the wlc(wism), do I need to create this vlan 30 on the supervisor 720?

If you create any interface on the WLC, then you will have to create the vlan on the switch, or else the switch will drop the frame.

thank you. I was not clear because there is no explicit explanation. I know that this is a requirement in WLSM but now I know that is for WiSM to.
