vic2-2fxo not supported in 2811?

i have a nm-hdv in slot one and a vic2-2fxo in the module. this 2811 has four hwic slots - can i put the vic2-2fxo in an hwic?

That is what I was telling you ... The ISR routers are really made to work this way ...

Yes, but you need the DSP modules on the router mainboard. The smaller is PVDM2-8 and will support 8 voice channels.

ok - im configuring this as a 911 line at a remote site. ill dig up DSP's and give it a shot.

Yes, although hugely oversized.

you said to put the pvdm2 on the motherboard and not on the nm-hdv?

i already have dsp on the motherboard.

i'm going to try a chassis slot.

That is what I was telling you ... The ISR routers are really made to work this way ...

so i ended up removing the nm-hdv from slot 1 in the 2811 and adding the VIC2-2FXO in hwic slot 3 and the router found it - no more errors during a sh diag.
