Does anyone have experience in setup CME and CUE in TWO different routers?

Is it possible to setup in this way?

User wants to reduce the sigle point of failure?

Any input will be much appreciated!!

Thanks!

Yes, absolutely. CUE is nothing more than a SIP endpoint to CME.

(still I have to understand certain thigns about AA, but that's another issue).

Just remember to create the respective dial-peer for each router services.

Regards,

Thanks! I will try this setup.

Michael.

The only problem is the additional management overhead to maintain the standby CME environment.

It's just a shame that CME doesn't support SRST.

But I can report it works fine!

Hi, CME doesn't support SRST in the CM model, however it support a redundant CME router. There is a small chapter about that in the sysadm guide.

Hope this helps, please rate post if it does!

Yes, I had tested secondary CME mode.

Both router have installed CME/CUE, while the primary router failure, all ip phone sets will registered to the backup router.

User will be provide CME/CUE feature on the backup router. As the primary comes on line, the phone will registered back to the primary router.

Please make sure end user don't power reset the ip phone while it registered to the backup device.

Alert all users to hear their voice messages before switch to the primary router.

The phone sets in both routers will be well defined. It seems the router do not knwo how to sync. the data automatically.

The command in the primary router:

telephony-services

ip sources-address 192.168.1.1 port 2000 secondary 192.168.1.2 rehome 200
