Hi,
we have implemented CUPC 1.2 with CUCM 6.01 and CUPS 6.01.
the users are complaining, that they are not able to use the CUPC outlook toolbar, because their contacts are stored without the offnet digit 0.
the CUPC intallation guide suggests using application dial rules.
what we need is a dial rule, which adds 0 to all offnet calls with number of digits > 4
is their any way to set up an applicaton dial rule to only apply to CUPC?
in addition, is their any workaround to use the international dial format +49 xxx with CUPC click to dial?
thanks, oliver

Hi,
as stated in the bug info there is a workaround:
"Workaround: Manually create all possible international numbers in Application Dial Rules"
we have already tried to create such application dial rules in CUCM:
Name Number Begins With Number of Digits Total Digits to be Removed Prefix With Pattern
CUPC Strip +49Â +49Â 13Â 3Â 00Â
CUPC Strip + +Â 12Â 0Â 0Â
if we match only "+" and strip only this particular digit it works. with this second rule the CUPC is able to dial the following number:
+02131404333 -> 002131404333
however, we do not get the first dial rule running. from my point of view the first rule would solve our problem and should do the following to CUPC dial:
+492131404333 -> 002131404333
please note, everytime we change application dial rules on CUCM we have to restart CUPS services "Cisco UP SIP Proxy" as well as "Cisco UP Presence Engine" to update the rules for CUPS.
does anybody knows how to get such an application dial rule to work?
Although these CUCM application dial rules apply also to CUPC, i think there is no way to restrict them to a certain kind of application. hence, they would also apply to webdial and attendant console.
regards, oliver
