Hi There;

Is there a way I can configure the 2811 router so that if a serial interface was to go down it will then shut down its own E1 interface?

Hi there;

IS there then a way of making the E1 interface unshut if the serial interface was to come back up - or would that require manual intervention?

thanks

Hi There;

Does that require a specific IOS version to run?

Thanks

We're about to purchase the router - so I'll need to check that. Do you have an example script I could review?

thanks

I just did this for someone else. See

http://forum.cisco.com/eforum/servlet/NetProf?page=netprof&forum=Network%20Infrastructure&topic=LAN%2C%20Switching%20and%20Routing&CommCmd=MB%3Fcmd%3Dpass_through%26location%3Doutline%40%5E1%40%40.1dddb7ff/6#selected_message

I outlined examples that will work with 12.4T (using Enhanced Object Tracking) and code prior to 12.4T using syslog.
