Hello

Could anyone share their experience and let me know how much WAN bandwidth may be needed at a branch office location with 15 people, no servers - just an ISR router and a WAAS module?

Just standard apps here web/email/file and print?

thanks

KJ

Hi,

Web, email, and print using WAN link a 512Kbps is recommended.

For Apps and File access, this depends on what type of application and what file are being access.

I suggest to start in 512Kbps (since you have the WAAS) and monitor the usage, as upgrading it you will just have to pay for the monthly cost. If however you subscribed to a high bandwidht and realize that the size is overkill, downgrading it will cost you a penalty (worse some of them have a contract whic hyou need to complete).

A word fo advice in WAAS, identify the type of traffic (application) you need to accelerate. Then request for POC with your vendor before you purchase it.

Regards,

Dandy

thankyou Dandy - do you know of any case studies that discuss bandwidth sizes at branch offices along with types of apps?
