First kill the processes that are running on the location appliance. Use the command ps -ax | grep locserv to find the processes and their . If you find any kill them using kill -9 . Then delete the config file to set stuff back to defaults:

rm /opt/locserver/db/linux/server-eng.db. Then restart the location server using the command /etc/rc.d/init.d/locserverd start.
