Ping works then stop the work again

I am setting this box up for the first time. I think I have the configuration correct. I have been able to ping an internet site but a I get disconnected. When I do a continuous ping I get replies and then after a short period of time I get no response and then I will start getting replies again

I will be the first to admit I am lost when it comes to configuring this so maybe I didn't set it up right to begin with. I am at a lost at this point.I am just trying to setup a basic NAT firewall to get started.

attached is my run config.

Add inspect icmp in your global policy , see if that resolves your icmp timeouts.

e.g

policy-map global_policy

class inspection_default

inspect icmp

I had seen that before.

With me that happened when I forgot to allow the ports UDP 50, 51 and 500 on the external firewall.
