questions on clocking on 3700

Hi..

I hav a Cisco 3700 with two NM-HDV (one E1 port in each NM-HDV). The NM-HDV is connected (back-to-back) to two Cisco 2800.

If each E1 port is configured to obtain clocking from the line and "show network-clocks" shows that the C3700 router is using the backplane as the clock reference. Will there be any potential clocking issue?

Do i need to configure "network-clock-participate" ? The default is "no network-clock-participate"

Any comments greatly appreciated.

Thanks

EW

Hi, do "show controllers e1". If you see any slips, than you clocking setup is not right.

Hope this helps, please rate post if it does!
