shivlu jain Tue, 02/26/2008 - 00:37 is the loopback ip. is the network address which is directly attached.

R means routes coming from RIP network.

When you use PPP, the Cisco IOS will automatically create a /32 route for the neighbor by default

Hence you see 2 network statements, one is the /32 address and the other is the attached network

If you want to disable this feature configure the following command under the interface

no peer neighbor-route
