show interface status (IOS layer 2switch)

Is it possible to modify the width of the column containing the description of the interfaces when I issue the "show interface status?" on IOS cisco switches?

I don't believe so but you can type show interface description if you want to see the entire description that is associated to the port.

It seems ridiculous that Cisco hasn't provided a way to specify wide format or number of columns even if it involves using the output modifier (|). My trunk port descriptions have the numbers cleaved off so I have to go manually fix them all in my spreadsheet.
