I have got a 2821 router with c2800nm-entservicesk9-mz.124-10.bin IOS.

I would like to upgrade it to manage voice services and connect it to a Call Manager cluster.

Do I just need to uprade the IOS version to a Voice one or do I have also to perform an hardware upgrade ?

the base hardware is fine.

what exactly do you want to do with it?

do you have any voice interfaces? DSPs?

I want to use this router for voice.

I will have 2 E1 links, some FXS ports and first about 30 ip phones and later up to 500 ip phones.

I do not necessarely need SRST mode.

About DSP, how do I know what I need ?

Thanks for your help

Hi, For 2 E1 links and "some FXS ports", you need a PVDM2-64, then if you have more than 8 FXS ports , and addtional PVDM2-8 (minimum).

Hope this helps, please rate post if it does!
