Cisco 4.x VPN client to 831 router configuration

Unanswered Question
Feb 26th, 2008

I need to configure a Cisco 831 already supporting 3 L2L IPSec VPN tunnels to also support a Windows client VPN using the Cisco 4.x VPN Client software. All authentication, dhcp, etc. for the VPN Client connection needs to be local to the 831 to allow remote connectivity to the inside network. Any configuration examples, links, etc. on how to do this would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I have this problem too.

Refer to the following document

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/tech/tk583/tk372/technologies_configuration_example09186a00800946b7.shtml

This document demonstrates how to configure a connection between a router and the Cisco VPN Client 4.x using RADIUS for user authentication. This document shows authentication on the RADIUS server, and authorization (such as assigning the Windows Internet Naming Service (WINS) and Domain Naming Service (DNS)) locally by the router.
