I know in pre-4.x WCS, the coverage maps didn't take into consideration AP's on floors above or below - has this been addressed in 4.2 or 5.x?
Also, are the 1131 AP's supported in an upright orientation instead of just the ceiling mount orientation?

As far I know this feature is implemented in RRM to determine the Channel and power assignment. But there is a proposal underway to impelment this feature.

FWIW, RRM is fully 3-D aware since all it cares about is how an AP (radio, to be precise) hears its neighbors. Re: 1131 orientation - it makes most sense to mount these on the ceiling given the antenna radiation pattern that these have. We've seen a few sites mounting them on the walls/pillars/etc but it doesn't make much sense unless you have a very specific requirement. Alternatively, you can consider the 1242s which have several mounting options (with external antenna support).

Thanks for the info. The 1131's will be used in the office area's and mounted in an upright position on top of file cabinets. >.<
The 1242's will be used in the manufacturing area's.
