We presently have a configuration that allows our receptionist to transfer calls across a tie line to a specific extension ( 8 access code) extension 7059. we would like to transfer/Forward a DID 5546, when called externally or internally across the tie to the same extension. How can this be accomplished, without terminating on a IPT phone.

Hi James,
You could set up a CTI RP with the DN 5546 and set the Call Forward All to 87059.
Hope this helps!

not that familiar with creating a CTI RP, is there a link that would give an example of the setup. Also, could this be done via a translation table. if so could you provide and example. Thanks

Hi James,
Sorry about that, I should have sent a link :) These are quick to setup and a nice way to route a "virtual" number without an actual phone.

I just set one up for testing and it took only a few mniutes. Don't forget to set the Call Forward All after the DN has been inserted.
Hope this helps!
