ospf area issue

Hi all

In ospf process,they require inject a default route to area 4, should i configurate the area 4 is a stub or totally stub area?

one more a question:

if i wanna an area in ospf process can only receive the inter-area route and must not receive the External route, what should i do

Hi

1) Configure as a totally stub area and only a default route will be injected into the area ie. no external or inter-area routes will be advertised into area 4

2) Configure as a stub area which will allow inter-area routes but not external routes.

If you have any connectivity behind the area 4 means rip or eigrp then you can make the area 4 as NSSA,. Else you can make the area 4 as total stub area. After doing this you will be reciving a one default O*E2 route.
