When we do forced switchover from one supervisory card to another, the delay in switchover is approx. 10 sec which seems to be on the higher side.
We are having 7613 router and running SSO.
redundancy
mode sso
main-cpu
auto-sync running-config
Previously it was working fine. Recently the delay is showing.
Thanks in adv.

The initial reload after the configuration of the High Availability (HA) is longer and the reload after is normal because initially, both Supervisors need to synchronize in order for HA to work properly

Souvik,
Are you running a dynamic routing protocol like OSPF? Is that what is taking the 10 seconds until the switch (router) comes back online? If so, look into NSF (search on NSF here and pick your protocol). It reduces the routing protocols reconvergence time.
