Hi, I am troubleshooting my slow internet link. I know that the line is congested but I also suspect that there is some delay issues? How can I find out if I have unacceptable delays on the line to the internet. I also ran show ip traffic if anyone can see anything that stands out out of the ordinary. I am concerned about the "362598 bad hop count" and "39 not a gateway" Thanks for all of your help!!

Hi, bad hop count is basically the number of times the router was being traversed by traceroute. Not a gateway is harder to define, but just consider that a malformed packet. I would be a bit wary of "unknown protocol".

OO Ok, well we are a graphics company so we have a lot of MACs and they have whole bunch of stuff running over IP, so I am not surprised by that number of unknown protocols stat. Thanks for the help!!
