Dear all,
I'm trying to implement a set/get routine with my Java application for VLAN membership per switchport.
This doesn't seem to work with the vmVlan OID on my switches. We are using 3550, 3560 and 2950 switches in our network.
When I do a simple get with net-snmp tools I get:
[root@host sub]# snmpwalk -c public -v 2c switchname vmVlan
vmVlan: Unknown Object Identifier (Sub-id not found: (top) -> vmVlan)
I get this result on every switch. I checked the document ID 45080, but none of this seems to work. I als checked for the correct IOS version as stated in the document.
Can anyone help me out here?
Thanks in advance.

Reason may be SNMP set to change a port's vlan but the vlan for that port always reverts back to the default vlan , so better you upgrade to the higher version.

All,
So far no replies received. But issue is resolved.
The complete OID to get/set the VLAN membership is: vmVlan.0
Best to you all.
