My question is-how can I change the regestry so it boots using internal memory?
I would like to see if their is an IOS image on that -is it confreg 0x2102...followed by reset?
and if there isn't an IOS on the internal memory, could I load one on there, without having to purchase
a new flash card?

ISR routers have no internal flash. You need a CF of good brand or a cisco original one.
In a pinch to boot, type tftpdnld -r, it will tell you the variables to set and you can boot from tftp server.
Hope this helps, please rate post if it does!
