Will greatly appreciate anyone educating me on how to connect my 2611XM series to the internet for training purposes.

(Precisely to try BGP and other experiments in my lab. The router is loaded with 256MB/32FL.

Thank you all in advance

Hi,

If you work for an ISP, that is easy. You need to talk to your NOC BGP Expert.

Otherwise, it will cost you a lot, WAN link, etc. However, there is an alternative without receiving the full internet route. You can setup your own LAB and/or use DYNAGEN/DYNAMIPS http://dynagen.org/

Also, don't forget to get a BGP Tutorial book/documents to start playing with BGP.

Dandy,

Grateful for your response. Could you please help me further on what you mean by NOC BGP experts?.

Though still going through the Dynamic but that doesn't seems to be what i want, as i really want to have a true taste of internet routes, to demonstrate what i have learned about BGP.

Thanks for your time once again,

Regards

Are you working for an ISP?

I not, you don't have to worry about NOC BGP Experts.

NOC stands for Network Operation Centre, a 24/x7 network support compose of personnel who are expert to the service they are supporting (i.e. BGP).
