27. Which two of these addresses are private IP addresses? (Choose two.)

- 10.215.34.124

test answer: 127.16.71.43

test answer: 172.17.10.10

- 225.200.15.10

I disagree - 127 is NOT a private IP address. it is reserved for loopback.

44. What are three characteristics of Ethernet 802.3? (Choose three.)

test answer - based on the CSMA/CD process

- a standard that has been replaced by Ethernet II

- specifies the physical layer (Layer 1)

test answer - developed in the mid-1970s

test answer - specifies the MAC portion of the data link layer (Layer 2)

- also referred to as thick Ethernet

I agree with 'Specifies the MAC portion'.

My book says 'developed in the early 1980s'

I agree with 'CSMA/CD process'

Question numer 27: To me, the correct answer is 10.215.34.124 and 172.17.10.10.

127.16.71.43 is a loopback address and 225.200.15.10 is a multicast address.

I agree with the question number 44.

There are a lot of questions i do not agree with. Some are very confusing.

Question 27 threw me as well. Odom book specifies 10.0.0.0, 172.16.0.0 - 172.31.0.0, and 192.168.0.0 - 192.168.255.0 as class A, B and C Private network addresses with the default masks being applied.
