EtherChannel, Why it is going down when power is down?

Hi,

we have 8 HP blade switches connected to core switches with Etherchannel, the power was down two days ago and after it came up again and after all network devices started, we found that the port channel was down between all the blade switches and the core.

the solution was just to restart the blade switches and everything will work just fine.

so, is there a reason for what happened to the EtherChannel and why we must restart the switches in order to make it up, this was happened before and that was the only solution so we go for the restart when it happened again this time.

Thanks

Shouldn't happen you would have to post the configs from the blade side and the switch side . Check in the logs it may tell you why they did not come up .
