2.4 AP bridging to 5G for backhaul

An old CISCO AIRONET 1240AG SERIES 802.11A/B/G ACCESS POINT datasheet details using the 2.4 GHz radio as the AP and the 5GHZ radio for backhaul.


Repeater mode isnt used.


Is this a supported configuration as I cant find any configuration guides for it.


I am interested in both autonomous and LWAP options

I guess by backhaul you mean bridge link. This is a supported configuration since configuration for each Radio can be defined seperately.

what I am concerned with is that I cant find a single example of this on CCO and this scenerio is removed from the latest version of the Datasheet (which was the only place that referenced it). Maybe it is a push to use mesh instead of bridging
