hsrp with sub-interface

we have two 3845 routers.

We have connected cross-cable between two routers.Other interface of both are connected to swich having 3 VLANS.

Now we will be configuring trunk on both routers with sub-interfaces.

Can we configure hsrp on those sub-interfaces?

One note, you need to configure hsrp on the interface or sub-interface that connects to the PCs.

It's not useful and doesn't do anything when configured on other interfaces.
