We have several remote sites connecting to an ASA 5510 at our corporate office using Cisco 871 routers via vpn's. At present the remote sites do not have vpn's to each other but we are considering doing so.
My question is what is the limit on the number of vpn tunnels an 871 model can reliably sustain?
Thanks for any answers.

Hi, actually when doing the modern-stlye dmvpn, remote sites would have a single tunnel for the logical point of view.
What really matters however is the offered traffic, look a the following:
Basically up to 30 mbps of fully encrypted traffic, the 871 is ok with.
Hope this helps, please rate post if it does!
