7970 phone does not ring

I have a 7970 phone that is not ringing it flahes but does not ring.I am running CME 4.1. When you put it on a speaker you don't hear dial tone. Even if you add other extension on the other lines the phone does not ring. I checked the settings on the Gui and rebooted the phone it flashes but does not ring. Any idea?

Hi try logg into the phone, https://IP address/ccmuser/logon.asp.


Go to Change the ring settings. Then use the pull down menu for "When Phone is idle" and see if it is set to flash only. Set it back to the default.

Hi Abye,


I don't think it is a setting in the CME that is causing this issue. Mainly because of the description for the Speaker Phone not having any volume :( Try dialing the phone and when it is Flashing adjust the volume using Butto #9 in Diagram 1-1 below. You can also try this button with the Speaker Phone on;
