can a 3000 series switch be conf. for management ip using int vlan command.

Hi,

once u login to the switch thru console goto the "configuration menu", then "IP Configuration menu", here you have option to provide ip address,subnet mask n gateway...

You can configure the mgmt vlan ip as shown below..

interface Vlan1

no shutdown

ip address 10.0.0.1 255.255.255.0

Yes it can , this is for switch mgt. only and has no routing function .
