IP Audit impact on firewall performance

Hello,

am looking at deploying the ip audit feature on the external interface of a PIX 535 firewall.

Can anybody let me know if turning on this feature has a significant performance impact on the firewall.

The "IP audit" may have significant impact on performance depending upon the traffic. Check the CPU and memory use of PIX before issuing the IP audit command.
