Can anyone advise why my VT Advantage camera cannot linked to my IPPhone or IPCommunicator despite having the correct following configurations:-
1) CM4.1
2) CU VT Advantage 2.1(1)
3) Video Capability-Enabled
4) Reinistall CUVA drivers & admin sw
5) Release notes say CM4.1 & CUVA2.1.1
are compatible.
Will it help if I upgrade to CM4.1.3 ?

I don't know if 4.1 is the reason, but upgrade to 4.1.3sr6 is really very good idea.

Go to your PC and check and make sure that the Cisco Installed CDP component in the network properties is still enabled.

Hi Khalid,
You haven't mentioned about the OS on the PC where your IPC is installed. If in case its Windows XP, try using CU VT Advantage 2.0.3, there seems to be some incompatibility in the VT driver on Win XP.
Earlier, the VT application as well as the driver used to come in a single installation file, but in version 2.1(1) both a seperate. I think you can later upgrade the VT application to 2.1(1) (remember just the application).
Do let me know if this helps.

If using a firewall, TCP Port 4224 needs to be opened to allow the connection.

Hello mate,
Have you resolved your problem?
If not, I think this maybe will help you:
at the ephone x put the type 7970 for ipcommunicator.
ex:
ephone 7
type 7970
And to be linked with the Ipphone, the LAN cable from your PC must be inserted into the phone switch.
It works for me,
Bye
