Help with Routing Switching lab topology?

Unanswered Question
Mar 4th, 2008

I'm building a routing and switching lab in Dynamips. I was wondering if someone can kindly share their topology, maybe in a simple diagram? I'm gonna use it for CCIE prep, and also CCNP because mine expired years ago. I have heard newer CCNP exams are a lot different from 2002-2003 when I took them.

Thanks a lot

I have this problem too.

I would suggest using the GNS3 program, which puts a nice GUI front end on the Dynamips program. It makes it relatively quick and easy to setup new topologies and define modules and connections.

Personally, So far I have only been working on my BSCI. I am using the CiscoPress BSCI Lab Companion which came out not too long ago. They have Lab Companions for the other tests as well (a few aren't out yet, but are coming soon). The books use different topologies for different labs, which makes the GNS3 program handy.

Can't give much advice for CCIE. But I would suggest picking up some lab books, which should show you the topologies to use with their labs.
