Hi,

I am trying to configure a cisco 876 (adsl with isdn backup router). I only want to use the isdn interface on the router as I am using a seperate adsl router and intend setting up hsrp between them so I dont have a single point of failure.

anyway when I try to initiate a call on the router I get the following error

*Mar 2 00:47:07.638: ISDN BR0 **ERROR**: process_bri_call: Outgoing call id 0x8

011 blocked

does anyone know why I get this? Here is a sh ver

This is usually seen when the isdn switch has no route for the outgoing call which is others issue.

Post all pertinent configs...

Thanks

Guys I believe its the IOS. you need to have enterprise version to be able to dial out which is completly ridiculous. who in their right mind is going to just buy a router with bri port just to hang a modem off it for out of band management especially seen as its a router aimed at a soho.

good going cisco

Even I could see the same ISDN errors in 876 router. ISDN L1 and L2 are active, but ISDN calls are not going through.

We tried to connect this ISDN link to another router and used the same configurations. It was working fine.

I think there is an issue with IOS (Adv IP services and Adv Security).

Try to upgrade the IOS to Adv Enterprise service Feature set.

I did and it resolved the issue. all other version of IOS for these routers only support calls in and not calls out
