i have switch 2960 and i format switch flash (there is no ios in switch only some command like copy boot (IFS) Commands. no user mode privilege mode . help me to restore ios ( i want to copy ios to flash in switch )

Hi,

Follow these steps..

Step 1 Connect a PC with terminal-emulation software supporting the XMODEM Protocol to the switch console port. You can use the XP hyper terminal.

Step 2 Connected thru console, U already able to connect...

When you are in boot loader mode, which is indicated by the switch: prompt

Step 3 Use the boot loader to enter commands, and start the transfer.

switch: copy xmodem: flash:image_filename.bin

Step 4: When the XMODEM request appears, use the Transfer/Send file option in hyder terminal..and select the image file to start the transfer and to copy the software

image into Flash memory

Step 5: After the new image has been loaded, boot the new image using the boot flash:filname command

boot flash:filename.bin
