LMS 3.0 vs 2.6- real world benefits in upgrading?

Unanswered Question

Can anyone provide a realistic breakdown on what the advantages are of 3.0 over 2.6? Better usability? Reliability? Specifics would be best if you have them. What is the practical case for upgrading other than EOL/EOS timelines?

many thanks!

I have this problem too.

LMS 3.0 is more usable with the new portal interface. It allows for almost complete customization of the CiscoWorks homepage. Plus, the dynamic content makes the CiscoWorks homepage more of a true dashboard of network and device activity.

Beyond the portal and the new EOS/EOL reports, LMS 3.0.1 offers non-CDP discovery support, SNMPv3 authPriv, default and fallback credential support, dynamic User Tracking to provide near real-time user login and logout tracking, better Java compatibility on the client side, modular IOS support, and more scalability to name a few of the new features.
