My dear respected teachers and gurus,
I've got a bit of a problem (isn;t it funny how people only call when they've got issues). I've got a 6748 line-card that is going into a 6500 chassis, but it's not recognising the card. I've tried using a SUP2 and sup2-2ge supervisor card. i cleared the previous congig in case there was a mismatch, but now i get the following:
**** buffer provided is smaller than SPROM.
**** buffer provided is smaller than SPROM.
**** buffer provided is smaller than SPROM.
**** buffer provided is smaller than SPROM.
When i type the mod command i get:
Console> (enable) sh mod 4
Mod Slot Ports Module-Type Model Sub Status
--- ---- ----- ------------------------- ------------------- --- --------
4 4 0 10/100/1000BaseT Ethernet no power-bad
and when i go to test the card i get:
Console> (enable) sh test 4
Module 4 is powered off.
The customer is coming to collect it tomorrow!! Is there anything that i can try to get it operational - we don't have TAC access (must consider that from now on)

Hi
The 67xx cards for the 6500 will only work with the Supervisor 720 i'm afraid.
