How to identify the incoming number, with basic phones?

Hi, would really appreciate any help on this, I'm not sure if it's possible to do.

I have 2 DDI, 4 basic 7911 single line phone, 4 extension, one for each phone.

When either DDI is called all extensions ring this is working. My questions is how could I distinguish between each number? We would like to answer the phones based on the DDI, e.g. hello this is 'x' company, hello this is 'y' company?

I understand how to do this on a phone with 2 lines, but would like to find a way to do it with the 7911?

Thanks.

hope this helps, please rate post if it does!

Just had a look at this in the manual, it looks like exactly what I need.

Thanks!

Hi, I've tried to do this in a lab but I get the following error:

CME#button 1:13 2o25

"Error: Overlay set is not allowed on 2-line per button config for 7910/7905"

The actual phone is a 7911.

Any ideas?

Ignore me please.

button 1o13,25

Just wasn't paying enough attention to the manual:

button 1o13,25

If anyone else has the same issue, in the above example on my phone I have line 1, then ephone_dn 13 is my main ext. and ephone_dn 25 is overlay.

Yes, usually you want to use "c" instead of "o", so you get call waiting.

Then the service dnis let you see a name too.
