Hi,
I think ClusterID is main used for CDR (call detail record) reporting purposes. It is saved in field in CDR record. It's useful if you have multiple clusters and want to merge billing data into one big database (warehouse or sth similar).

We`ll some guy installed the Cisco Field Monitor software but he now apparently needs to change the cluster id`s of the call managers as according to him the field monitor software only recognizes one call manager per cluster ,but according to me the database on both call managers should be exactly the same ? Seeing as the one is a backup for the other.

Hi,
Parent database is on publisher, Subscriber just have snapshot (read-only) from publisher. Cluster ID is clusterwide parameter.
