host not found error on 7941g series /ccme 4.1

hi,

on ccme 4.1 platform i use different type of ip phones. Everything is ok except 7941g series.

when i press address book button ,the display shows host not found and local directory is missing.

any idea pls.

the host not found error has always something to do with DNS. try changing the hostname to an IP adress.

but it is callmanager express. the problem is local directory is missing. telephony can successfully register to the system and gets ephone dn. But directory is missing.

at which point is dns used ? also more than 80 ip phone(7940 and 7960) runs correctly.

But 7941G s have this problem.

Hi,

What firmware do you have on the 7941 phones?

Try upgrading the phone firmware to 8.3(5) which is presently the latest firmware.

Hi,

check the cnf-config file.

Maybe delete/create a new cnf-file and check if correct loaded form the ip-phone (debug tftp packet).
