LMS 3.0 Solaris Hardware Requirements

We are in the planning stages of switching from a Windows platform to Solaris for LMS 3.0. What would be the optimal hardware specs for a 10,000 node system? If you have model numbers that would be great. Is it better to use a T1/2 processor or should we stick with the UltraSparc III/IV series? Is it possible for one server to handle RME and Campus together or should they be split? We would be using DFM on a separate server regardless. Thank you for all your help.

For this configuration, you'll need at least two quad processor UltraSPARC IV at 1.0 GHz (e.g. SunFire V490, V890, etc.) servers . Each server can have all applications installed.

As for other supported processors, you can use a US III server, or a US T1. But I would stick with a US IV, IV+, or T1.
