ASDM 6.0 Configuration Limited after upgrade

Hello:

I upgraded my ASA5510 from 7.0 image and ASDM 5.0 to ASA 8.0(3)/ASDM 6.0(3). Before the upgrade I could use the ASDM to configure my device just fine.

After the upgrade the ASDM is stuck in a read-only mode. I get "You are authorized to access only Home and Monitor Views."

I can use the same user ID and PW to connect via SSH just fine and change anything I want.

The issue is just the ASDM thinks I am in a read only mode.

Suggestions?

If your VPN and HTTP login IDs are same this may happen. Check if you have the following commands in config of your ASA

aaa authentication http console LOCAL

aaa authorization command LOCAL

Also make sure that you have atleast one user with full privilege before doing the upgrade.
