Right now I'm using a 3550 with 2 GBIC and only using the GBIC ports. I want to replace it with a similar swich with only GBIC ports, at least 4. What model do I choose?

Hi,
New switches are using SFP not GBIC. What GBIC port type you use?
1000BASE-LX/LH
1000BASE-SX
1000BASE-T
1000BASE-ZX
If you use 1000BASE-T GBIC, the ideal replacement is Cisco Catalyst 3560G-24TS (24 Ethernet 10/100/1000 ports and 4 SFP ports). You don't need to purchase the SFP port as you now have 24 Ethernet 10/100/1000 ports.
Let us know the exact model of your 3550 switch and the GBIC port type.

Hi,
The model that I mentioned in my earlier post has 24 10/100/1000 ports which will replace your 1000Base-T (GLC-T). The model have 4 SFP port which you can plug a 1000BaseLX/LH SFP
