Hi,
I setup one DS3 cct for voice traffic. I can monitor the physical layer alarm (AIS, LOS, etc). I do not know which monitoring software can monitor the D channels of DS3. Any idea?

Anita:
A DS-3 does not have a d-channel. An ISDN BRI circuit has the d-channel (2B+D). The d-channel is used for signalling.

Hi,
the DS3 with 28 T1, running nfas config. The voice traffic is running on it. There is one D channel to take care 28T1 signalling, the second D channel is backup D channel.
So, the D-channel is one of T1 circuits

wow...I never knew that an ISDN could be bundled in a DS-3, can you provide a link to a provider that is doing this?
I am not saying you are mistaken, I just never heard of that.

It's common enough in the US. This is how telco links to large customers.
